Sloped applications

The rigidity of Vision Control® louvers and the perfect alignment of the blades make it ideal for sloped glazing. Apart from its breathtaking aesthetic value, Vision Control® provides significant thermal performance and substantial energy savings. Used in skylights, it eliminates any bending often seen with regular “between-glass blinds” shading systems that sag onto the inner glass lite. Moreover, since the units are hermetically sealed, there is no need to clean the louvers. This type of application is ideal in commercial buildings, shopping malls, hotels, restaurants as well as in private residences.

Most sloped applications as seen in skylights are often out of reach. Manual control of the louvers is not possible. As shown in the above drawing, motors can be incorporated into the system allowing single or multiple panel control with the flick of a switch. Units may be ganged to operate simultaneously depending on the project requirements. Programmable logic controllers may also be connected to the motors, offering computerized control of the louvers.

This type of system is ideal in public places such as museums and libraries where light levels need to remain homogenous. By presetting the controls, one can regulate the quantity of light that propagates though the louvers.

Options such as timer and sun sensors may be integrated into the digital system.
