Specialty Glazing Vision Control®

Applications

Interior wall applications

Vision Control® is typically installed in hollow metal frames, with operators being accessible on one or both side(s). Because it is hermetically sealed, Vision Control® remains dust-free, germ-free, requiring no maintenance. This is why architects recommend it in any area where hygiene and privacy are a must: ICUs, ORs, ERs, nurses alcoves, patient rooms, conference rooms, observation rooms etc. In sterile environments, no other window treatment system can better accommodate your louvered glazing needs.

Unicel specialty glazing, interior wall applications, Canada, United States.

Whether new construction or renovation, Vision Control® adapts to all types of wall construction including, but not limited to, steel, aluminum, and wood frames.

The most common interior installation involves hollow metal frames by others. If new frames are required, we recommend flat, cased-open type frames as per the detail above. 1 1/8” (28mm) high screw-applied removable stops would provide the necessary clearance and bite requirements for the glass. Unicel also provides its own aluminum stops, provided pre-cut and drilled or notched to accommodate the Vision Control® operating mechanism.

In retrofit applications where fixed stop frames are being used, please refer to page VC 2.3 of our technical catalog or contact us for more information.
